NovaStor - what to do if the backup schedules hang

I use NovaStor backups with some success... but sometimes the backup schedules hang, and I can't clear them. The schedule page says 'missed', and 'waiting'. In order  to clear the backups, you need to delete the schedules and reset, as detailed below:

You will need to delete a file from the NovaBackup folder. Please use the following steps:

1. Close the NovaBackup software.

2. Right-click on the NovaBackup Service icon in the System Tray and select Stop Service.

3. Right-click on the NovaBackup Service icon in the System Tray and select Exit.

4. Press [Ctrl], [Alt], and [Del] keys simultaneously to open the Task Manager window.

5. Verify the novabackup.exe, nbkctrl.exe, and nsengine.exe processes aren’t active. Select each of them and select End Process / End Task if they are still active. You may need to press [Ctrl], [Alt], and [Del] again to open the Task Manager window under Windows 98 and ME.

6. Open the C:\Program Files\NovaStor\NovaBackup\Data\Schedule folder.

7. Delete all files in the Schedule folder.

8. Restart the service.

9. Start the NovaBackup software as normal.
