I have been asked to get the customer balance and the last payments of a customer for a particular month, so I don't think I can use the values in rm00103.  I guess what I'm wanting is a way to say give me the sum of the payments for the month of May, and the previous balance at the end of May.  Is this possible?

RM00103 is a 'roll up' table, it contains summary data for right now.

If you want a 'point in time' report, you have to us an 'all time' approach. The receivables tables are here: http://vstoolsforum.com/blogs/dynamicsgp/archive/2007/04/23/rm-table-names.aspx

You can add up doc in RM20101 and RM30101 and get to the specific balance that you want. You'll also want the apply tables (RM20201 and RM30201)
